Artist Talk with Kristian Brevik

"To Light a Candle is to Cast a Shadow"

Please join us for an artist talk with the artist of these great whale pieces!

"My art explores the interactions between humans and other-than-humans, by highlighting the commonalities of form shared by ships and whales, by wondering about the ways we shape each other; through domestication, eating each other, and changing each others experience of the world, increasingly through extinction. Some of my recent projects focus on the entanglements between whales and humans, and the ways in which how we experience the lives of others through art may shape our attitudes and behaviors."

RSVP by emailing monica@dedeeshattuckgallery.com for a headcount.

Fundraiser Concert -- Ella Wylde

Fundraising Concert!

Performance by Ella Wylde

Ella Wylde is a 20 year old Brooklyn based musician performing for the Dream of a Safe Haven (DASH) dog shelter.

Ella started writing songs when she was just seven years old. Now, as a young woman, she does not hold back when it comes to judging her younger self regarding the content of her old songs. “They were terrible. Straight up awful. But I was seven and I had to start somewhere. I like to think my songs have gotten a little better throughout my years of being a songwriter.”

DASH is a dog rescue located in Kalamata, Greece that cares for over 500 animals with the help of some gracious and dedicated volunteers. The shelter’s sole mission is to provide a safe haven for hundreds of homeless, starving and abused dogs that could die without the help and refuge they deserve.
